You love the idea of starting a blog and maybe you have a million ideas.
But are you unsure about how to choose your blog niche an
d start writing content?
f you are nodding your head, you aren’t alone. Choosing a blog niche is one of the hardest parts of starting a blog.
Don’t worry I have covered everything about finding a profitable blog niche in one hour to make your life easy.
It just seems like a lot of people are blogging these days and making a living out of it.
What if I tell you that I have a questionnaire that will help you find your niche and start earning like others.
But first things first:
What is a Blog Niche?
A blog niche is a specific topic that you’ll be focusing on and creating content around that attracts a specific group of people. You need to focus on your expertise in a specific area and to a specific audience to stand out from your competition.
This enhances customer relationships, increases visibility, reduces competition, and is more fun.
And now we are going to understand:
Why do you need a niche after all?
So, I have been often asked why does having a niche matter by many newbie bloggers.
I am guessing you love to write about certain topics and you want to share your thoughts with the world.
So why can’t you?
The question comes back to – why do you have to pick a single niche?
Nope, there isn’t internet police who will penalize you for writing on various topics but it just hurts the SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
It is not the case all the time and many people have found success writing on various topics too.
But the issue is most of the time, your readers aren’t guaranteed to be interested in all the topics you personally love.
If you stick to one topic, there is one guarantee. The people who are interested in one blog topic will come back to your blog again and again.
Why having a niche is better overall?
When you start creating content about one particular niche it tells people who you are. When you write about various topics you have to put a lot of marketing efforts at a wide audience and hope to hit one or two interested buyers.
Niche Marketing also helps in building a target audience that keeps coming back to your blog.
Because you know your customers, you are able to serve them the best. You are able to engage them better and connect with them.
How to choose a blog niche?
So we have learned about the importance of a blog niche and why having a specific niche is important. Now, we will move towards how to find your blogging niche.
Like I mentioned in the introduction, I am gonna give you a few questions that will help you determine your profitable blog niche in one hour. This is like a blog niche quiz, so let’s get started.
Try to answer these three questions honestly:
1) Will I love writing about this niche one year later and 50+ posts from now?
This is one of the biggest questions that you need to decide on before starting with finding your niche. Lots of people start off strong, publishing regularly for a few weeks.
Sudden drop off!!
Yes, this happens. From one post each day to one post a week to one post a month. Gradually the motivation dies.
This isn’t a negative point, just a fact that will help you find the best blogging niche. Writing about the same niche is hard work and can get tedious if you don’t choose the right niche topic.
So, it’s good to look inside and answer these questions:
- What niche will I be interested in writing after a year blogging?
- Which topic interests me the most?
- How will I find ideas after 50+ posts?
Once you answer these questions, move forward towards the second question about how to pick a blog topic.
2) Are there people who want to read about this topic?
Now that you are on the second question, I am guessing you have decided on two or more topics that you are interested in. That’s Great!!
We have at least one person who is interested in those topics. Now, it’s time to figure out are there any other people interested in your niche.
