But, it is not as easy as it sounds.
Facebook outreach algorithm is quite complex and marketing on Facebook could be difficult.
The engagement that you expect from Facebook becomes very delusional.
But, if you can implement social media marketing strategies then you can actually gain benefit out of Facebook.

As a blogger, I’ve been using Facebook to attract traffic to my website for a long time now.
And I’ve been using the same strategies that I’m going to teach you.
These strategies are something that I’ve tried and tested for a long time and improved upon.

Optimize your Profile
The very first step that everyone must follow is optimizing their profile.
A bad profile can ruin your first impression.
And remember the first impression is the last impression, you cannot compromise on this.
You have to optimize your profile to ensure you deliver the right message to your audience.
Whoever sees you for the first time should not feel as if you are some unprofessional folk who does not know what he/she is doing.
You have to appear professional, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and someone with a personality.
When I first shared my post on Facebook, I thought I can easily make people click on my website link, and I’ll have a great source of traffic.
But, I failed, I just had 10 likes, no comment, and only one click which was probably from my friend.
Now, there was plenty wrong with my posts and strategies but, one thing that stands out to me is my profile.
My profile was not optimized well and that’s where I started.
but, how you should optimize your profile?
You can do that by uploading a good and clear profile photo.
It is the very first thing that people notice so keep it clear and make sure it is visible.
The next optimization that I recommend is to upload an intriguing cover photo.
The cover photo should express your personality, so you can include hobbies, your profession, and something that people can connect with.
Now, the next thing to fix is your about section.
You must have a well-crafted about section on your Facebook profile.
Do not add a slogan or a quote. As a blogger, you have to be a little creative with your about section which gives people a basic idea of who you are and what you do.
And do not forget to add your personality to it.
You can include some of the hot keywords like travel, nomadic, wanderer, etc. to showcase your goals and purpose.

Create and Share Amazing Content
To promote your blog you need content and that has to be sharable.
If your content is sharable then your post has the potential to go viral. And viral contents are something that gets so much traction and engagement.
But, how to create viral content?
Well, many studies show that content that invokes emotions is more likely to go viral than content that provokes no emotions at all.
People like to connect with what they are interacting with and when your content provides them that satisfactory medium, you will definitely succeed.
It’ll not only improve the performance of that article but also helps you with your overall performance of the blog.
One of the major factors of viral or sharable content is the quality of the content.
The higher the quality of content, the higher engagements and more chances of it attracting thousands of visitors to your blog.
Facebook usually deals with text, images, and video-based content and there are different tools that you can use to improve your content quality.
I personally use Canva Pro.

Creating a FB page is very easy, a five-year-old can do that, all you have to do is follow the on-screen instruction.
But, the real task is to promote a Facebook page and that’s where strategies come into play.
Promoting your blog on Facebook is similar to marketing your business on Facebook.
In both cases, you can implement business tactics like lure your audience in.
The very first tactic that I use is by offering a Giveaway, and it was very successful.
The things that your Giveaway need not be expensive, it can be a simple and inexpensive thing related to your niche.
But, how to organize a giveaway?
Well, I use Rafflepress Plugin to organize giveaways.
It is the best giveaway and contests organizer WordPress plugin in the market.
You can increase your audience by incentivizing your visitors to share your giveaways using various social media platforms.
The best thing about the tool is that you can use pre-built templates that are specifically designed to make your giveaway go viral.
I personally find this method of promoting a website cheaper than using ads.
Join Facebook Groups
When I started out my blog, I often overlooked social media which led to me believing the Facebook is not a good platform to promote my blog.
But, then I got to know about Facebook groups and how you can use these groups to drive traffic.
I implemented these strategies and I got amazing results.
Social media is all about building a community that you can reach out to and connect with and Facebook groups provide the best opportunities for this.
You can create your own group or join an existing one, or you can do both.
But, I recommend joining an existing group first and then starting your own group so that you get the exposure right away.
It’s very easy to search for FB groups in your niche.
If you decide to start your own group then you have to build your audience from scratch which is what you are doing anyway using your blog.
So, it’s totally up to you to decide whether you want to start your own Facebook group or not.
Basically, do your own research and then decide.
Use Facebook Ads
Facebook ads are a very powerful way to increase your website traffic and if you do it right it can be very profitable.
For as low as $15 a month, you can get steady growth with your blog traffic.
You can also use FB ads to increase your Social media followers.
The best part about a blog is that if someone interacts with your content once, then in the future your content can get an organic reach for free.
I’ve also used FB ads to capture emails of the users to connect with them via other mediums.
Using the captured email, I was able to implement some of the email marketing strategies that I always boast about which help me gain quality traffic.
You can also use FB ads to capture emails for your blog and the best tool to do that is ConvertKit.
This tool helped me build my community up and also made me feel connected with them.
I was able to reach out to them, broadcast messages related to my blog, and build a connection with my audience.
It is a tool that is essential for a blogger, and another alternative that I can recommend is Optinmonster which is similar to ConvertKit in many ways.
But, OptinMonster is much more complex and offers advanced features which can be overwhelming for an average user.
If you are comfortable with tweaking complex features, then this tool is for you.
There are a lot of features of Facebook’s ads that make it a very attractive choice for bloggers like getting leads, geotargeting, retargeting, behavioral targeting, and whatnot.
